**Some news.** After four years and eight months at Razorpay, I'm joining Stripe next month as a Senior Engineer. A few honest things, since I won't get this kind of public goodbye often: The payments team at Razorpay was the best engineering team I've ever been part of. We built systems that moved a serious amount of India's online commerce, and I don't think I'll ever again work with people who debug a production payment failure at 11pm with the same combination of calm and rigour. To **Pranav**, **Shilpa**, **Aman** and the whole reconciliation squad — thank you for everything. I left part of my brain on that team's whiteboard. What I'll carry forward: that the boring parts of a system (idempotency, retries, replay tooling) are 80% of the work, and that customer trust is built in the part of the codebase nobody wants to look at. What I'm excited about at Stripe: getting to work on payments at the layer below where I've been working. Different problems, same allergy to magic.
